IT HAS BEEN A WHILE

It has been quite a while since I stopped by to say leave a message for my team. I have had a lot of personal challenges in my life but I must say through them all the Lord has been faithful and I trust Him with my life. I want to encourage those who feel bad about losing. I want you to keep your prospective. Please know while it is important to have a desire to win on the field nothing can or should keep you from being victorious off the field. You could get upset about not winning and quit. It does not take much energy to quit. It is easy to give up and give in. It takes character to keep showing up to practice and keep  going even after giving your all and coming out it seems "defeated". I do know that if you learn to endure these times with the right attitude you will develope a mindset to not give up in any area of your life, whether it be problems on the job, relationship issues or whatever you may face. Learning how to respond to adversity will cause you to walk in VICTORY despite your circumstances. I know this personally everytime I walk anywhere pulling the tanks of O2 behind me. I recognize in spite of my circumstances that I am abundantly blessed because I have a Savior (Jesus Christ) who loves me. Hurricanes you are blessed. This is only a temporary state and it will turn around. It does not end here. Let's remain encouraged, continue to show up for practice and give it your all. You will not be disappointed, nor will you be defeated. I care for you all and I am your NUMBER 1 FAN!!! Go Team.

Here we are excited about the start of another season. A lot of hours have been put in preparing for a march toward the goal of being crowned SEAFL champions. This year I am reminded of those who are a part of our team but are serving our country overseas. I want to personally let each one of those players know that not a day goes by that you are not in my thoughts and prayers. We miss you! This season is dedicated to you all because you are still a part of this team. Joe Albritton, Tony Blocker, Trevor Booth, Willie Coleman, Chris Garrett, Charles Gibbs, Quinton Griffith, Joshua Methany, George Revere, Daniel Sidman, James Sturtz, Roy Vital, Jr, Mory Walker, Cedric Williams, and Yotorri Wright. I love you guys. Coach Sharp and I miss you much. If I have left anyone out please know that it not intentional so please write to us at hinesvillehurricanes@hotmail.com.

I entitled this "Worth Repeating"because it has been said before but no matter how many times it has been stated it just does not seem like enough... 

THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE

It has been quite a while since we have played a game and I hope that all is well for everyone. I want to take this opportunity to thank each of your for your valuable contribution to the team. I especially want to thank the members of our team that are also proud members of the 3rd ID. Thank you for the sacrifice that you make daily so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have as a nation sometimes take for granted. We cannot take for granted that you risk life and limb by being members of the Armed Forces in a time like this. We are very grateful and we appreciate you. We will never forget what you and your families who support you give up every time you are deployed. Words seem inadequate. May the peace of God always be with you as you keep your minds on Him. May He always be that shelter for you and your family.  You are a very special group of courageous people and we thank God for you. Your fighting spirit is the reason the Hurricanes have never had to forfeit a game due to not having enough players. There have been times in the past when we went on the road with only 14 players. There is no quit in the Hurricanes and I thank God for that. What else can I say but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

 

ALWAYS WALK IN FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER. RESPECT ONE ANOTHER AND WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO THE COACHES AND DESIGNATED TEAM CAPTAINS. THAT, MY FRIEND IS A WINNING FORMULA. YOU SEE, WHETHER THE SCORE REFLECTS IT OR NOT YOU WILL HAVE ESTABLISHED THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE LASTING RELATIONSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT WILL NOT FADE LIKE THE SHINE ON A TROPHY. WE ARE A FAMILY. WE CARE ABOUT YOU NOT ONLY AS A FOOTBALL PLAYER BUT AS A FAMILY MEMBER. ALWAYS KNOW THAT.

SO IN YOUR WEEK OFF PREPARE YOURSELVES TO BEGIN A WINNING STREAK THAT WILL NOT END UNTIL THE SEASON IS OVER AND YOU ARE CROWNED SEAFL CHAMPIONS.
